Walking in Your Kingdom Assignment: You Were Made for This
There is something stirring inside you that will not go away. A pull toward more. A sense that you were created for something specific — something that only you can do in the way God wired you to do it.
That is not ambition. That is assignment.
This week on the Fostering Faith Podcast, we are talking about your Kingdom assignment — what it is, how to walk in it, and why so many believers are sitting on gifts and callings they were never meant to sit on.
What Is a Kingdom Assignment?
A Kingdom assignment is not just a job or a role. It is the specific purpose God ordained for your life before you were born. It is the intersection of your gifts, your story, your passion, and God’s mission.
Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Read that again. God prepared your works in advance. They are already written. The question is whether you will walk into them.
Why People Sit on Their Assignment
There are a few reasons believers do not walk in their calling.
Fear of failure. What if you step out and it does not work? What if you are wrong about what God told you?
Waiting for perfect conditions. You are waiting for the right season, the right resources, the right timing. But often God calls you to step before the conditions are perfect.
Listening to the wrong voices. People who did not pursue their own assignment will sometimes speak limitations over yours. Their ceiling is not your ceiling.
Comparison. You see what God is doing in someone else and you forget what He asked you to do.
How to Walk in Your Assignment
Start where you are. You do not need a platform, a big following, or a title. Your assignment begins in the room you are in right now.
Steward what you have been given. Luke 16:10 says whoever is faithful with little will be trusted with much. Do the small thing with excellence.
Stay close to God. Assignment without intimacy becomes striving. Stay in prayer, stay in the Word, and let Him lead.
Do not compare your chapter to someone else’s. You are exactly where you need to be for what God has next.
You Were Made for This
Whatever God placed in you — the vision, the calling, the burden, the gift — it is real. It is not an accident. It is not too big. And it is not meant to stay hidden.
You were made for this. Now walk in it.
