ROOTED in Consistency: Plank Challenge Week Three

We have officially made it through Days 13–19 of the one-minute plank challenge!

By Week Three, the excitement of starting something new has usually worn off. This is the point when consistency matters more than motivation. One minute may not sound like much, but showing up every day is building strength, discipline, and confidence.

The same is true in our faith. Being ROOTED in Christ is not about having one emotional moment with God and then drifting back into old habits. Strong roots grow through small, faithful choices repeated over time—opening the Word, praying when we do not feel like it, choosing truth over comparison, and trusting God in ordinary moments.

“Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith.” — Colossians 2:6–7 (NASB 2020)

This week, keep focusing on good form:

• Keep your back flat and your body in one straight line.
• Engage your core, glutes, and quads.
• Keep your shoulders stacked over your elbows or wrists.
• Do not hold your breath.
• Modify when needed—drop to your knees, shorten the time, or break the minute into smaller sections.

Modification is not failure. Starting where you are and continuing to show up is how you grow stronger. The goal is not to look like someone else. The goal is to become stronger than you were yesterday.

That is also the message of ROOTED. We do not measure our faith by someone else’s life, gifts, pace, or season. We stay connected to Christ and allow Him to build us from the inside out. Some days will feel powerful. Other days will feel ordinary. Both matter.

So keep going. Drop down for your minute. Open your Bible. Pray the prayer. Make the next faithful choice. Deep roots and strong bodies are not built in one day—but they are built one day at a time.

Let’s finish this challenge strong, together.
